Recipe #5Mushroom Gravy Ready in: 30 minutes Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Makes: 3 cups Comments: General, well-rounded gravy that can be used on anything from steak to schnitzel Ingedients: 1 cup white onion, chopped fine 4 cloves garlic, minced 2 cup mushrooms, sliced feel free to experiment with other mushrooms varieties for flavor 4 tsp. butter melted if desired 0.25 cup flour more or less to adjust consistency 3 cup beef broth 1 tsp. thyme, salt and pepper to taste Directions: In a large sauce pan or wok, heat oil to medium heat, add onion and garlic and cook until onions are translucent.Add mushrooms and stir into mix - cook to desired doneness.Add butter and allow to melt completely.Add flour and seasonings and stir to coat onions/mushrooms.Add broth, stir into mix and bring to soft boil.Reduce to desired consistency.
