CommentsThis rocket has seen many changes since initial build. It was used to successfully certify Level 2 after Big R.O.Y. I shredded on my second attempt. Since then, it has suffered at least 2 cracked airframes (zippers) and has been rebuilt in a zipper-proof fashion, with the coupler welded on the booster side.

Since it lost about 10" from the booster length, the top payload section has been extended with an 18" section screwed on to the existing 9" section. The extended section now holds the parachute so the top section can be used for altimeter only.

Last flight is pictured to the left. This flight was on a 3-grain Pro54 (J-295). Altitude was 6185' with top speed of 846 fps (576 mph).

UPDATE

This rocket has since been repainted in my company's color scheme and using the company logo. It is semi-retired.
