Recipe #13Basic Marinade/Glaze Ready in: 35 minutes Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes Makes: 2 quarts Comments: Use for chicken or pork Ingedients: 2 quart water 2 Tbl chicken base 2 tsp salt 2 tsp ground black pepper fresh cracked pepper is preferable 1 tsp liquid smoke 2 Tbl olive oil or sesame oil 2 Tbl balsamic vinegar optional - adds tang 0.25 cup brown sugar when using as glaze 0.5 cup soy or teriyaki sauce when using as glaze Directions: Combine all ingredients in large sauce pan and bring to boil Cool completely before using as marinade Add salt/pepper to taste Reduce marinade to desired consistency for use as glaze Store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks DO NOT reuse marinade - reduce for glaze or discard
